It would be too easy to answer with a YES and then in fact go to the shooting range to "shoot" many shots and ...
and as I report also in my book FRONT SIGHT "... if you score lots of 10s, you will end the shooting session
thinking that it's been a great training session".
You are sure to be doing a good job, but I would like to draw your attention to 3 points.
1. Are you training in a structured and conscious way?
In relation to "structured" I mean to have planned (maybe starting from November 2021, but also organize these 2 months and
half before the Championships would not be bad) the training sessions and their content.
In relation to "conscious" I mean the work quality to be carried out with specific objectives.
2. Did any programming take into account your daily commitments?
I think it is perfectly useless to plan for a certain number of weekly trainings,
if you are not able to respect these times.
If the initial enthusiasm has led you to predict times that you are unable to maintain, a calibration will be required
to avoid consequences such as the loss of motivation and interest, with a relative sense of frustration.
3. Are you following a personalized program?
If you have a standard program, perhaps copied by someone else or downloaded directly from the internet, it may not be
lived up to your expectations ... for the simple reason that the program was made for someone else and not for you.
So if you are self-taught, be very careful, if you have a coach it is worth spending some time together, to
the work personalizationto to be carried out inside and outside the shooting range.
Last, but not least, I ask you if you keep track of what you do in a shooting diary.
If you do this carefully and everything goes well, you will know how to proceed in the future; if it doesn't go well, you'll be able to
review where if necessary to make corrections and adjustments.
If, on the other hand, you do not keep track, you will always have to start over, losing a good set of experiences already accumulated.
And anyway...good job!
