Involved or Committed?

This rural story could be useful to understand the difference between being committed to achieving your goals, and being exclusively involved in preparation although characterized by a good number of training sessions, but without the right mindset.

A hen was talking to a pig about how good the farmer was to them in the way he provided their shelter, food and protected them from danger.
The hen thought that, would have been a nice gesture the next morning to show her gratitude to the farmer by serving him a breakfast of eggs and bacon.
Obviously the hen would provide the eggs, which is quite natural for her.
The pig, instead, should have provided the bacon....which was rather problematic for him.
In fact, the pig thought about it for a while and then commented: "Let's see if I understood correctly: we will give the good farmer a breakfast of eggs and bacon. The way I see it, you will be involved in the project while I will commit to doing it!"

Now let's bring this metaphor into the context of shooting training.
If we are exclusively involved in the process of training and competitions, we will hardly be able to achieve our maximum.
But if we are pursuing performance goals, we will certainly not have to sacrifice ourselves to commit as the pig in the story should, but commitment requires the will and desire to go further in our work to achieve the goals we have set ourselves!

So ... do you feel more egg or bacon?
